I met Rajaji in the year 2005 and first introduced me to him by Prof. MVN Murthy and Prof. Indumathi. I joined as Project Associate with the INO group and use to work with Murthy and Indumathi on simulations. Though I am from Physics background, due to the course that i have taken in M.Tech Comp. Tech at University of Hyderabad, i lost the fundamentals of Physics and rather filled with more computer science technologies when i joined the INO group.
Initial days, i was under hesitation whether to continue with the group as i found difficult to understand the Physics of Neutrinos. It was that time fortunately one day during breakfast i met Rajaji at cafeteria and that changed my perspective and removed the entire fear ! In a short span he told me what INO group expects from me ! This is my real beginning of INO .
After i left INO group, i still use to write the emails in the initial days to the group as they are the greatest persons that i ever met (even after 15 years in the IT industry this remains same!). The only person who use to reply me and wish is Rajaji. The last email i recieved from him is in Jan 2021.
To be honest, i am not that great person who knew Neutrino Physics, its just a small contribution that i made and tried my level best with INO. Inspite of that i wondered the way Rajaji remembered me and my small work.
I use to show and discuss the example of Rajaji many times with my colleagues in IT industry. May his soul RIP.
I will be missing him.
